How they work
Everfield acquires and operates European vertical-market and specialist software businesses. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in London, it was formed by Aquiline, which lists it as a current investment. Everfield uses a decentralised model: acquired businesses retain their brands and operational autonomy while receiving support with sales, product development, finance, talent and further acquisitions. It describes its ownership approach as permanent, with no intention to resell acquired companies.
Everfield starts with an introductory conversation, a confidentiality agreement and company information, followed by an indicative valuation. Further discussions lead to a letter of intent. Financial, technology, legal and tax due diligence then informs the purchase agreement. Its published process describes roughly three months for due diligence, followed by closing and operational support.
